Family pie firm sails further into cruise liner market

A family-run bakery has increased sales of its pies into the cruise liner market after extending its partnership with a UK ships stores suppliers.

Doncaster-based The Topping Pie Company, will now be supplying more than 20 cruise liners, increasing from six ships since the partnership with Cavendish Ships Stores began four years ago.

Passengers and crew on world leading cruise ships will now be able to tuck into traditional hot eating and cold cutting pies from Yorkshire.

Cliff Gregory, sales and marketing  manager at Cavendish Ships Stores, said: “We source fine quality items for the UK  cruise market and always look for distinct, quality products that stand out in both taste and appeal.   The Topping Pie Company originally supplied just 6 cruise ships when the partnership was formed and the bakery’s range of first class pies has been so popular with guests, we decided to launch the products on more ships.”
