CEO of acquisitive firm speak at upcoming business lunch

A chief executive who has led the growth of a £200m-turnover firm is to speak at TheBusinessDesk.com’s lunch, to be held at The Dakota Hotel in Leeds.

Andy Kendall-Jones is the driving force behind Leeds-based Southerns Group, one of the UK’s leading Furniture, Fittings & Equipment providers. He has overseen the acquisition and integration of several businesses to create the Southerns Group, an entity with a turnover that now totals more than £200m and employs over 250 members of staff.

The event, to be held on September 28, includes a delicious lunch in the fantastic surroundings of the Dakota Deluxe Hotel in Leeds city centre, as well as the chance to network with businesses from across the region. Tickets priced at £45, including the two-course lunch, are available to book now.

Delegates will hear Kendall-Jones talking about his career, his views on the Yorkshire business market at present, details of acquisitions and why the region has been a perfect location for the firm’s growth. He will also discuss challenges and opportunities and what his ambitions are for the future. Those that work with him say he is tenacious, inspiring and commercially wise. He is someone who leads very much from the front, yet is democratic, collaborative, and always willing to encourage and mentor others; all aspects he will touch upon at this event, for which tickets are selling fast.

Instead of solely adding to turnover, Kendall-Jones says he has strived to create a group that is unique and long lasting. His successful approach has seen sales increase by 70% during the last three years, leading to the Southerns Group ranking 37th in the most recent Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100.

In December 2017, Central Square Holdings Limited (CSHL) acquired both Styles & Wood and Southerns, an opportunity to create an enlarged group with capabilities across the full spectrum of support services to the built environment.

Kendall-Jones’ current position is that of CSHL shareholder and board member, contributing to the strategic direction of the group.

Tickets priced at £45, including the two-course lunch, are available to book now.
