Leeds web dev agency invests in future growth after raft of client wins

Web development SME Blue Mantis has had a record quarter, with revenues up 100%.

The company said that for Q1 2019, it reached £198,000 in turnover, up from £74,000 in the same period last year. It has also added several new members of staff and won a raft of new clients.

The company currently employs 14 staff, having taken on four new web developers to deal with workloads.

It has recently been signed by London’s Goldsboro Books as a development partner, delivering a full website review and redesign.

Blue Mantis has also signed up educational initiative, Cities of Learning, after winning a competitive four-way tender pitch to build a machine learning and AI enabled system for enabling career progression pathways in the under 25s.

The team have also been tasked with a conversion rate optimisation project with high-end fashion brand ScotlandShop.

Managing director Martyn Lee said of the agency’s record quarter “Naturally, I am very proud of our success and it is incredibly rewarding to build such a fantastic team.

“We have grown quickly from a team of only four people three years ago to where we are now, and with some excellent UK leading brands under our belt, this is truly a testament to the hard work our team have put in.”
