Reusable packaging specialist expands into Europe

Sheffield-based reusable packaging innovator Loadhog has launched its first subsidiary in France.

The company said the move was needed to support the steady international growth Loadhog has achieved over the last three years.

Loadhog Sarl has been established in the city of Obernai which is close to Strasbourg.

The employee-owned company has boosted its warehousing space outside the UK but also production capacity, with a new assembly area incorporated enabling the completion of its flagship products.

Michel Barda, director of the new facility, is accompanied by eight employees who are helping to set up the new operation and further improve Loadhog’s ability to serve international customers.
“Establishing Loadhog Sari is a milestone investment for the company and it is one which all employee-owners can get excited about.

“We have filled new positions in operations, accounting and administration, ensuring that the structure is capable of coping with forecasted growth.”

The 1,000 sq m building also houses office space, with an attached showroom in addition to a maintenance workshop for servicing products such as the Loadhog Pally and the Pallet Lid.

Loadhog Sarl will be able to provide a significantly improved service for many Europe-based retail, manufacturing, postal and automotive customers which before had to go through the UK headquarters to service their returnable packaging products.
