A JOINT consortium for one of the biggest housing regeneration projects in Hull has been announced.

Hull City Council has joined forces with KSHP – a consortium of developers to deliver 4,000 new homes in Hull and the East Riding.  This newly appointed consortium will deliver one of the city’s largest, most wide-spread and longest housing regeneration programmes, bringing private investment in excess of £500m to the area.

The joint consortium known as KSHP consists of housing developers Keepmoat and Strata Homes along with affordable housing provider Home Group and commercial property specialists Priority Space.

Councillor John Black, portfolio holder for council infrastructure and responsible for housing, said: “The appointment of this consortium is a key milestone for Hull.

“We are looking forward to working with them in what will be one of the biggest housing regeneration projects the city has seen.”

The appointment of KSHP will provide much needed new homes, employment and training opportunities and inward investment to the city through developing land owned by the Council. The partnership has a target of delivering 85% local labour and 300 apprenticeship opportunities through the development.
