SME: Flomigo, Deliveroo, blink

BROTHERS Andrew and Ash Lewis have launched an online advertising platform, Flomigo.

Flomigo provides full screen customisable video commercials, and their lightboxes plat captive video content, with a click through rate 80 times that of a standard banner, according to the firm.

19 year-old Ash Lewis, an ex-programmer, started building the concept in his spare time.

He said: “I wanted to create a new platform which would add value and capture people’s attention, benefiting all parties: publishers, businesses and browsers.”

Flomigo is based in offices on the University of Hull’s campus. At 2 months old, the firm already has a team of seven staff.

Reds and Deliveroo

An online take-away business with a difference has been launched in Leeds.

Deliveroo is an online service for Leeds and Headingley, delivering within a 2.2km radius.

The firm has already signed up Red’s True Barbecue, Gaucho, MEATliquor, Carluccio, Chino Latino, My Thai, and The Olive Tree.
Harry Tyndall, Deliveroo’s market launch manager said: “Deliveroo are incredibly excited about launching in Leeds and changing the Yorkshire eating habits. After being here at university a few years ago, the food market has boomed and the wide variety of cuisines and restaurants is only destined to make for an exciting city to work in.”

Solos from Giorgio’s Ristorante Italiano, Headingley said: “Our food can now be experienced in your office and your own home thanks to Deliveroo! They have already proven to be a great commercial partner to ourselves. Drivers are always on time, customers are always happy and we are generating more orders – so we are happy too!”
