People: Investment firm hires Northern dealmaker; Yorkshire Tea welcomes TV legend Sir Michael Parkinson; and more

Lyceum Capital, the investor in B2B services and technology companies, has recruited Anthony Greensmith to support its deal activity in the North.

Greensmith joins Lyceum following a 14-year career at Montagu Private Equity where he was a board member and responsible for its northern operations, based in Manchester.

A chartered accountant, he spent six years in corporate finance at EY before joining Montagu.

Greensmith will be responsible for strengthening Lyceum’s relationships in the region and increasing the firm’s investment footprint.

Sir Michael Parkinson Yorkshire Tea has appointed TV legend Sir Michael Parkinson as head of interviews.

The award-winning journalist joins Yorkshire Tea in the newly created role to whip the hiring process into shape.

Sir Michael said: “I’ve spent the last 60 years perfecting my interview techniques, and have definitely had my fair share of tough interviewees!

“Now in my new position with Yorkshire Tea I can put my well-oiled skills to proper use and I’m really looking forward to a fresh challenge. It will be great to be based in Yorkshire, it’s just a shame the HQ isn’t in Barnsley.”

IDHL has appointed Stuart McGregor as group commercial director.Harrogate and London-based digital marketing group IDHL has appointed Stuart McGregor as group commercial director.

McGregor will be focused across the wider group, covering WMG, Ingenuity Digital (ID) and NetConstruct.

He started out in senior roles with Microsoft (MSN) and Yahoo Search Marketing at a European level, and then transitioned into the agency side of search marketing, working at a number of Yorkshire-based agencies including Stickyeyes and twentysix.
