Building products distributor appoints new CEO as it marks 25 years

Alfreton-based building products distributor PermaGroup has appointed a new chief executive officer as it marks 25 years in the flat roofing industry.

Kevin Williams steps into the role following the departure of founder and former managing director Adrian Buttress.

Williams brings three decades of experience across the building, plumbing, and flooring sectors, including senior roles at the Travis Perkins Group and most recently as managing director at Headlam Group.

He said: “Taking PermaGroup into its next era is a thrilling opportunity. The company is already at the forefront of the industry, and I can’t wait to build on this momentum, driving new products, expanding our offerings and growing our customer base to new heights.

“I’ve had the privilege of building amazing relationships throughout my career and I’m excited to bring that people-first mindset to PermaGroup. We’re going to continue innovating and delivering solutions that’ll make a real difference for our colleagues, customers and stockists.”

Outgoing MD Adrian Buttress said: “It’s with immense pride that I hand over the reins to Kevin as I explore new ventures outside the industry.
