Moore on the road to motoring success

Nottingham-based solicitor Maria Moore is on the road to success after setting up her specialist motoring law business last year.

Maria, who has nearly 30 years’ legal experience, spotted a gap in the market for a dedicated motoring expert who can assist with everything from speeding tickets to drinking and driving offences.

Moore Motoring Law opened for business last May and is already in demand across the UK from both private clients and other legal practices that do not have her expertise within their own teams.

Moore said: “I have always been interested in motoring law because it is a really technical area and no two cases are the same; it’s always challenging and is something that could affect all of us in our daily lives. I like dealing directly with my clients and representing them in court to help them achieve the best outcome.’’

“I have been delighted with how busy I have been over the last year. I’ve dealt with more than 80 clients, a significant proportion of whom have been recommended to me by other people which is a huge compliment.”

Moore’s career began advising Nottingham Magistrates, the very people who make decisions in court, on criminal and road traffic law before going into private practice in the city. She is a solicitor and Higher Court advocate which means she can deal with clients in the police station, in the Magistrates court and the Crown Court. She also delivers bespoke training on motoring matters to professional organisations.
