LLEP reveals new director

The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) has revealed the person taking over from Corin Crane.
The LEP has appointed Mandip Rai, head of strategy and engagement at LLEP, as the new LLEP director.
Rai has over 20 years’ experience in economic development including senior roles with local authorities in Leicester and Leicestershire since 1998.
He secured the role as head of LLEP in 2010 to lead the formation of the partnership and has also been responsible for engaging local and national partners and stakeholders and for developing and implementing the LLEP’s Strategic Economic Plan (SEP).
One of his career highlights also includes leading the Leicester and Leicestershire Multi Area Agreement which was signed by the former Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street, in 2009.
Rai will replace Corin Crane as LLEP Director in the middle of October.
