Derby Choral Union

1. An evening of Mozart
Date: Saturday 12th November
Location: Derby Cathedral

Derby Choral Union will be opening the season with an evening of Mozart at Derby Cathedral this Saturday. Established favourites such as The Requiem and Solemn Vespers will be performed by the union, with an aim to make Mozart’s classics more memorable than ever.

2. Winter Food Festival
Date: Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th November
Location: The County Ground, Northampton

Northampton’s celebration of artisan food and drink kicks off the festivities this weekend, offering a feast of wintry flavours. With several artisan producers of food and drink serving up their finest creations as well as chef demonstrations, food workshops, wine tasting, cookery classes, children’s activities and more, the weekend is set to be the perfect place for foodies.

3. Nottingham Comedy Festival
Date: Friday 4th – Saturday 12th November
Location: Various venues in Nottingham

Support local talent and see your favourite comedians performing at Nottingham’s 8th Comedy Festival as it comes to an end this weekend. There are still over 30 events taking place in and around Nottingham for the festival’s finale weekend, including stand-up comedy from Juliet Meyers, Stu Turner, Jon Pearson, Ahir Shah and many more.

4. Bailgate Christmas Fair
Date: Saturday 12th November
Location: Bailgate Methodist Church, Lincoln

As Christmas approaches, St Barnabas Hospice will be giving shoppers the opportunity to buy unique handmade gifts from across the county.

The fair will see Gemini Craft Designs returning with beautiful handmade glassware, Enkelt Handmade with high quality neckties, Margaret Dale with homemade Christmas wreaths, and many more delightful stalls.

St Barnabas Lincolnshire Hospice will also be hosting their own Christmas themed stall with decorations, gifts, toys and a new range of Christmas cards. Refreshments and festive treats will also be on offer.

5. Leicester Print Festival
Date: Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th November
Location: Leicester Print Workshop, Leicester

As part the Print Workshop’s 30th birthday celebrations they are holding their very first Print Festival. As well as artists selling their work, there will be free print demonstrations, drop in activities for adults and children, exhibitions, artist talks, tours, a Christmas print shop, refreshments and lunches.
