Developer plans University Quarter accommodation

Godwin Developments, have bought a key site in Derby’s University Quarter.

36 Agard Street is an office building with a development site currently providing short-term car parking.

Stephen Pratt, land director at Godwin Developments, said: “We are pleased to have secured this site and genuinely excited about developing residential on the site. For 12 months or so we have been working hard to acquire a number of sites in Derby and we are pleased to get this one over the line.”

He added: “We have been working closely with people on the ground in Derby and Marketing Derby and we look forward to revealing details shortly of a further strategic acquisition which we are close to completing”.

The site sale was brokered by Rigby & Co on behalf of a private investor.
