Passenger numbers up at East Midlands Airport

The owner of East Midlands Airport, Manchester Airport Group (MAG), has seen revenues and profits rise for the six months ended 30 September as passenger numbers rise at Castle Donington.

Revenues at MAG rose from £445.5m in 2015 to £482m this year, whilst operating profits rose 8.8% to £150.3m.

Passenger numbers at East Midlands Airport rose from 2.9 million to 3.1 million over the period.

MAG says that East Midlands Airport is now DHL’s second biggest global hub, and it continues to be the biggest airport in the UK for all-cargo flights.
