On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

The managing director of an East Midlands engineering consultancy has been appointed onto the East Midlands Reserve Forces & Cadets Association (RFCA) Leicestershire and Rutland committee.

Eddie Mewies, of M-EC Consulting Development Engineers has taken on the role of employer ambassador, with specific responsibility for voicing the needs of local employers and how opportunities for Reservists and Cadets can be created within the regional business community.

“M-EC has been supporting and actively promoting the Reserve Forces for over three and a half years, culminating in the business receiving Gold in the Employers Recognition Scheme this year,” said Mewies. “I’m now delighted to be able to extend this support by sitting on the county committee and hopefully encourage further collaboration between Reservists, Cadets and East Midlands businesses.”

Digital agency Hallam has added two new Nottingham graduates to its team.

Stanley Dunthorpe graduated with a Master’s degree in history from the University of Nottingham in 2015. He has joined the team as a graduate digital marketing executive.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Catton, who graduated earlier this summer with a Masters Degree in physics, joins the team as a graduate PPC executive.

Managing director Susan Hallam said: “Both Stanley and Jonathan are very welcomed additions to the Hallam team. Their enthusiasm and willingness to learn will help us to fulfil the needs of our ever-growing client base.

“The Hallam offices are filled with successful Nottingham graduates we have employed within recent years. I’m excited to see Stanley and Jonathan’s careers develop and flourish with us.”
