Nottingham firm submits plans for 110,000 sq ft headquarters

A Nottingham supplier to some of the biggest petrol forecourt operators in the world has put forward plans to transform the former Chromoworks building in Nottingham into its new headquarters and distribution centre.

DSL currently employs over 80 people at sites across Nottingham with its current headquarters at Concord House on Malton Road. If it gets planning permission, the new headquarters will consolidate its operations into one site.

The Chromoworks site on Wigman Road was formerly a printworks and has been vacant since 2014. It was sold earlier this year to Sladen Estates in a deal brokered by NG Chartered Surveyors.

The proposals include building a 86,133 sq ft warehouse with 19,052 sq ft of office space.

DSL was established in 1983 in Nottingham. It works with and supplies petrol forecourt operators with retail brands and works with the likes of BP, Esso, Sainsbury, Texaco, Jet and Shell.

If the move goes ahead, DSL, which is owned by the Landa family,  says it will create 21 new jobs.

In its last accounts for the year ending 31 December 2015, DSL Group posted a turnover of £14.2m and profits of nearly £2m.
