Landmark Nottingham hotel set for 35 bed extension

A landmark Nottingham hotel is set for expansion after Nottingham City Council granted planning permission for it to add extra bedrooms and extend its conferencing facilities.

The Hilton Doubletree on Nuthall Road in Nottingham will expand in a scheme that will see 36 bedrooms added to the 105-room building.

The extension will stretch to over 16,000 sq ft and will create 10 new jobs at the hotel.

Rayner Davies Architects of Nottingham will design the scheme. In the planning application the firm said: “The proposed scheme will create a high quality building which is respectful of its setting and will make a positive contribution to the area.”
