Luxury children’s clothing store to open in West Bridgford

A high-end children’s clothing store is set to open in the affluent Nottingham suburb of West Bridgford.

JoJo Maman Bébé will create six jobs when it opens in for the former Co-op travel centre unit in Tudor Square.

The new shop will open in March, says the company, after a comprehensive re-fit.

JoJo Maman Bébé was launched in 1993 by Laura Tenison from a small shared office in London with the stock stored in a disused carpenter’s workshop at her parents’ place in Pontypool, South Wales.

The firm now has 70 stores and employs over 400 people in the UK. Tenison was awared an MBE for services to business in 2004.

JoJo Maman Bébé follows the recent opening of top-end homewares stores Oliver Bonas in West Bridgford. Restaurant chain Gusto is set to open next month (February).
