New Nottingham coffee indie given the green light

Nottingham is set to be the home of a new independent coffee shop after the City Council gave the green light for a new outlet on Middle Pavement.

The Old Boston Coffee Shop promises “coffee, live music and cake” when it opens at 15 Middle Pavement opposite the entrance to the intu Broadmarsh shopping centre.

The Old Boston Coffee Shop will create four jobs. The business was incorporated in March 2016 is run by Birmingham-based Colin Benham and Christopher Heaney of Nottingham.

The business will hope to follow in the footsteps of fellow Nottingham coffee indie 200 Degrees which was set in Nottingham up by Rob Darby and Tom Vincent in 2012, and is set to open its fifth site on Market Street in Leicester in the former Lumbers Jewellers on Market Street in the heart of the city’s shopping district.
