Real estate consultancy Naismiths has promoted Charlotte Whincup to associate director.

Charlotte Whincup

Whincup who joined the company in 2021, will now have a particular focus on expanding Naismiths’ building surveying offering services in the East Midlands, in line with the recent strategic partnership announcement with consultancy Edmond Shipway.

She said: “Being appointed to associate director at the company is a huge milestone for me and I want to thank Naismiths for the support they have given me up to this point. It’s not only great to work for a company that rewards its staff for their hard work, but also one that recognises the potential of staff for future growth.

“I’m looking forward to applying my experience and strengthening our presence within the East Midlands, drawing on knowledgeable resources from Edmond Shipway. I’m particularly excited to take a lead role and have the opportunity to work with a bigger team in the region, providing clients with ongoing expertise and enhanced service offerings. It’s reported that women are responsible for just 15% of senior positions in the construction industry, so to even play just a small part in that number increasing is another proud moment.”

Ben Harwood, chief executive of Naismiths, said: “Charlotte’s promotion is simply the worthy reward for her progression since she joined us. Not only is she extremely capable within her role, but she’s also very well-thought-of among the team and is known for building fantastic relationships with clients.

“It’s a very exciting time here at Naismiths following our partnership with Edmond Shipway and we are very much looking forward to seeing Charlotte work closely with the team there, implementing a successful strategy for growth in the East Midlands.”
