Market Harborough pre-pack saves 18 jobs

A Market Harborough battery supplier has been sold in a pre-pack deal that will save 18 jobs.

Eddie Williams and Stuart Maddison of business and finance adviser Grant Thornton were appointed as administrators to Direct Battery Solutions on 28th January 2016.

The company provides batteries to the automotive, agricultural and leisure market throughout the UK from its warehouse in Market Harborough

A sale of the business and assets was completed to Direct Battery Solutions Energy on 19th February 2016 which has saved the jobs of 18 people.

Williams said: “I am delighted to have completed this sale which has supported a positive outcome for both the former employees and the creditors. Achieving this sale within a short period required support from a number of stakeholders and advisors. I wish DBSE every success with the future.”
