Leicestershire entrepreneurs to create 50 jobs

Hayley James and Charlotte Johnson

Two Leicestershire entrepreneurs are set to create 50 jobs with the opening of a home care company.

Home Instead Senior Care will care for elderly clients in Loughborough, Charnwood, Syston, Coalville and surrounding areas.

Charlotte Johnson and Hayley James are setting up the new venture, providing home care support to older people helping them to continue living independently in their own homes.

The pair worked together for fourteen years for a major retail manufacturing company, James in supply chain management and Johnson in sales, manufacturing and design.

James said: “My family went through a difficult period of ill health, where we needed to find good quality home care support for both my grandparents and for a time my father and it was a bewildering challenge. I realised that this was a scenario being played out by many families and during this stressful time you really don’t know what to do or where to go.

“We are now able to provide care for our clients that we would want for our own loved ones, but also to give that much needed reassurance and peace of mind for their family and friends.

Johnson added: “We so often hear about the problems within social care, but we see it as a real privilege to care for people in their own homes. We provide truly person-centred companionship care, and take pride in matching our clients to their caregivers based on shared interests. They are given time to care, which of course helps them to build great relationships built on trust. I am so proud to be doing something so meaningful, helping older people to get the care they deserve”

Home Instead says it is looking to create 50 jobs for people in the own community is are keen to talk to compassionate, like-minded individuals who may be interested in joining the company.
