M1 closed in Leicestershire

The M1 in Leicestershire is closed in both directions due to a collision between J20 (Lutterworth/Rugby) and J21 (Leicester).

Local emergency services and traffic officers are at scene.

Road users travelling Northbound are advised to follow the ‘hollow square’ symbol and exit the M1 at J20 taking the first exit onto the A4303.

Continue along the A4303 until the Magna Park roundabout taking the fourth exit onto the A5, continue on the A5 to A5/M69 junction taking the fifth exit on the roundabout onto the M69 Northbound.

Continue on the M69 until J2 / M1 J20 and re-join the M1 Northbound.

Southbound road users are advised to follow the above in reverse.
