Gillo steps down from Pall-Ex board

Pall-Ex, the Leicestershire-based palletised freight network, has revealed that the vastly experienced  Geoff Gillo has stepped down from its board.

Gillo, who stepped into the role of interim group finance director after Martin Field left the role last May, has been a non-executive director at the firm for the last three years.

Hilary Devey CBE, founder and CEO of Pall-Ex, said: “We have made no secret of the fact that, over the past few years, Pall-Ex Group has been committed to executing a strategic growth plan. This has involved a comprehensive management restructure, a detailed review of operations and a focus on overall quality.

“Part of this plan was the appointment of Geoff Gillo to the board as a non-executive director. Geoff joined the group for a three-year term and, with that period now at an end, he has left Pall-Ex in order to pursue other opportunities.

“Geoff has played an integral role in the transition of the new management team and has been part of a real group-wide effort that undoubtedly leaves Pall-Ex in a stronger place than when Geoff first joined us in 2014.

“On behalf of all at Pall-Ex, I would like to thank Geoff for his contribution to the business and wish him well for the future.”

Gillo is a director of Keswick Enterprises, the private equity firm that invests in logistics businesses.
