Castle Boulevard student flats planned for Nottingham

Bricross Developments is planning two build two student accommodation blocks on land on Castle Boulevard in Nottingham.

The firm has submitted plans to Nottingham City Council to develop 75 units over two 4-storey buildings.

If it gets the go-ahead, the development will be designed by Leonard Design.

A design and access statement by Leonard Design, reads: “The development will aim to deliver superb student living informed by a healthy, sociable and vibrant environment responsible for the delivery of a flourishing community in close proximity to the city centre.

“Whilst a considerable amount of student residential developments are targeted at first year students whom will go on to living in alternative residences (after completing their first year) the proposal envisages a more permanent ‘home’ through high quality design that will encourage students to stay for longer.

“The scheme will also offer a home for more mature students seeking the comforts of accommodation with the comforts to complete their studies in both a focussed and relaxed working environment.”
