Housebuilder reveals East Midlands expansion plans
Housebuilder Redrow has announced plans to expand its business in the East Midlands.
The company, which bought Radleigh Homes at the end of January, says it wants to increase its output from 200 units a year to more than 500 in the next three years – with the creation of new jobs and opportunities for supplier and sub-contractor recruitment across the region.
Redrow East Midlands has unveiled its first development in the East Midlands – Knights Keep in Stretton, near Burton on Trent which is set to launch in the Autumn and will feature 100 high three- and four-bedroom family homes.
Redrow is also looking for strategic sites and land opportunities across Nottingham, Derby and Leicester.
Tom Finnegan, managing director for Redrow Homes East Midlands, said: “We are in a strong position to deliver growth and are embarking on a period of considerable investment, which is set to result in the delivery of more quality family homes in great locations.
“This will benefit local customers, colleagues and businesses within the supply chain.”
In the financial year to the end of June 2016, Redrow completed 4,700 homes with a turnover of £1.38bn and a profit of £250m.
The company was founded by chairman, Steve Morgan CBE, in 1974.
