Nottingham architect reveals £100m pipeline

Nottingham-based Franklin Ellis Architects says it is working on projects across the East Midlands and beyond worth over £100m over the next three years.

The practice says it is seeing a marked improvement in the buoyancy of the construction sector and an increasing demand for its design services.

The RIBA accredited firm, which has 40 employees and is based on The Ropewalk, has experienced rapid business growth particularly in the last five years which has seen it double its turnover.

The £100m pipeline of work includes projects in Nottingham, Leicestershire and the South East across PRS, residential, education and hotels.

Franklin Ellis Architects has designed high-profile buildings throughout the East Midlands including the £9m Derby Innovation Centre, £4m Loughborough Innovation Centre and multiple hotel projects including Nottingham’s Hilton Hotel and Lincoln’s Holiday Inn Express.

Founding partner, David Franklin, said: “We are a proactive team with a shared ambition and passion to deliver well-built and exciting projects that provide a positive effect on the local economy.

Associate partner Joe Taylor, added: “We are kept very busy, which as an architecture company is both rewarding and challenging.

“We have invested heavily back into the business; including a 100% switch to Revit as our delivery software, as well as a suite of other design tools to help communicate our designs. We have also built up a significant portfolio over the last 24 years which we hope is testament to the quality, friendliness and professionalism of the service we offer.
