Plans for Notts care facility could bring 55 jobs

How the new care facility would look

An Ilkeston provider of residential care for people will with mental health problems has lodged plans to turn a former Stapleford office building into a new care facility.

Aspire Health Care wants to turn Cambridge House on Nottingham Road in Stapleford into a a young
person’s residential service; mental health rehabilitation service, and long term residential care and supported living facility with 36 rooms for people aged from 16 to 65 who have mental health needs and require additional support before living independently in the community or returning home.

If the plans get the green light, 55 jobs will be created in Stapleford at the 28,500 sq ft building.

Cambridge House had previously been the subject of a planning application to turn it into 42 flats.

Aspire Health and Care was established in 2010 by consultant psychiatrist Dr Ivan Bakaltchev. The firm has four properties within Derbyshire delivering person centred care to people with mental health needs. The Cambridge House model will be based on two of these properties.
