M1 closed in both directions

The M1 is closed in both directions between J15 and J14 (southbound) and J14 to J15 (northbound) due to a serious incident involving a HGV which has crossed over the carriageway and collided with other vehicles.

Traffic travelling northbound is advised to follow the Hollow Diamond symbol led diversion. Exit the M1 at J14 onto the A509 and continue to the A5/A509 roundabout. Continue on the A5 to the A508/A5/A422 Old Stratford Roundabout. Continue A508 and re-join the M1 at J15.

Traffic travelling southbound is able to follow the northbound diversion in reverse direction (Hollow Circle symbol).

Road users are advised to allow extra journey time if travelling in these directions or to seek an alternative route.
