Former Trinity Mirror boss joins Champions

East Midlands brand agency Champions (UK) has appointed a new group sales director.

David Simms became the first non-family member to join the board of Champions (UK). He previously held the position at Trinity Mirror as regional managing director for the East Midlands.

Managing director of Champions (UK), Matthew Hayes, said: “Branding is an exciting sector to work in, Champions is an exciting place to work, and we are going through a truly exciting period. We are pleased to welcome David Simms to our team, which is opening the door for more driven, creative and talented individuals to follow.”
