Leicestershire independent plumbing and heating supplier Pochin has opened two new outlets in Northamptonshire, creating six new jobs.

Three jobs have initially been created at the new trade counter on Linnell Way in Kettering and three posts at Heathfield Way in Kingsheath, Northampton.

The new openings follow a year on from Leicester-headquartered Pochin’s first branch to open in Northamptonshire, at Corby.

Pochin has been growing steadily in recent years, opening trade counters and acquiring existing businesses in the West and East Midlands. Forecast turnover in 2017 is in excess of £24mn and its total staff across trade counters and bathroom and AGA showrooms is now 113.

Pochin’s managing director David Pochin said: “Corby has proved to be an excellent move for our business, installers have been very receptive to our customer service led approach delivered by experienced and knowledgeable staff.

“Opening in Kettering and Northampton is a logical expansion as we extend the business southwards. We are confident both will thrive. Elsewhere, further branch openings are planned with Mansfield scheduled to open in December 2017 with more in the planning stages for 2018.”
