NG brings landmark Derby building to market

NG Chartered Surveyors is targeting leisure operators looking to enter the Derby market after being appointed to market a landmark city centre building.

NG is bringing to market the 11,000 sq ft Seven Market Place – a former bank building, in the heart of Derby, and are looking for an occupier who wants to align themselves with Derby’s thriving leisure scene.

Sunny Landa, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, said: “You only have to walk through Derby city centre to realise that something big is happening to the city.

“The 17th Century Seven Market Place is ideally situated to take advantage of the early evening office crowd, and with a brand-new multimillion multi-purpose arts space being built just across from the unit, as well as plans for an ice rink earmarked for the city centre, we expect high demand from national operators.”

Derby City Council has recently announced the regeneration of Market Place to include an iconic venue, remodelled Victoria Market Hall and significant investment to transform the whole of Market Place.

Landa added: “This multimillion pound scheme will provide high-quality opportunities for retail and leisure uses, as well as a new performance venue capable of drawing audiences from across the UK.

“We look forward to talking to potential tenants who want to be in at the start of something big for Derby, and it continues to punch above its weight to rival its East Midlands counterparts.”
