Green light for 33 new homes on Lincoln outskirts

Matt Truelove

The third generation of house builders from Lincoln-based family-run business Truelove Property & Construction has been granted permission for a new development in Scothern near Lincoln.

Matt Truelove, the son of Truelove Property & Construction co-director Paul Truelove, is set to begin work on the village development in February.

Matt Truelove will begin work on the development of 33 new homes in Scothern under his own company Deer’s Leap Properties.

He said: “I’ve worked for the family business since leaving school and currently manage my own property company too. This is set to be the most exciting development I’ve been a part of so far as Scothern is a really beautiful village. We’re glad to be adding to its unique charm.”

The new development will be named Cathedral View thanks to the view of Lincoln’s iconic landmark that can be seen from the site off Dunholme Road.

Truelove added: “Scothern is a great place to live; not only can you enjoy village life, but you also have easy access to a bustling city just a few miles away, which is something that is highly sought after these days.

“The new homes will be a mix of three, four and five-bedroom properties, complete with integral and detached garages. They’re designed to match the trademark specification of a Truelove property which means making sure we offer bespoke and customised finishes. We are also building eight affordable houses which will consist of one, two and three bedrooms.

“We’re very much looking forward to seeing our plans come to fruition.”

The new homes will be released in three phases with the first phase due for completion by Christmas next year.
