On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Siobhan Newton

Lincoln-based Langleys Solicitors has added to its family law unit with the appointment of Siobhan Newton.

Newton is a newly-qualified solicitor and joins the unit from Harrowells. She will focus on family law including divorce, the financial aspects of separation and children matters.

In addition, the family law unit has promoted Natalie Wiles to senior paralegal while Leigh Hannam has joined as a paralegal.

Mark Day, partner in family law and head of Langleys’ private law division, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Siobhan at the same time as our family unit receives the highest recognition in the new edition of Chambers UK.

“The top ranking demonstrates the strength and breadth of the advice and services we provide to clients which includes offering genuine specialism in traditional representation, litigation, mediation and collaborative law matters.”

Lorien Engineering Solutions has appointed nine graduate engineers, four at its UK office in the East Midlands and a further five at the company’s office in Poland.

Jack Dawson, Roseanne Missenden-Jones, Lou Charpentier-Dusoir and Sarah Matthews have joined the firm at its UK headquarters in Burton on Trent.

Lorien director Dave Mallinson said: “Our Graduate Scheme allows recruits to work within experienced and multi-disciplined engineering teams delivering multi-million pound projects, as well as being part of our engineering development programme.

“We feel strongly about doing our bit to ensure the future of engineering, both here in the UK and in Poland, and newly qualified engineers therefore play an important part in the exciting growth of our business.”
