Leicestershire door manufacturer snaps up Italian firm

Leicestershire headquartered door manufacturer, Hörmann has taken a majority share in the supplier of bollards, road blockers, lift carriers and tyre killers, Pilomat.

The deal, for an undisclosed amount, means that Hörmann now owns 70% of the Italian manufacturer, and will now be available to purchase under the Hörmann brand.

The new product range from Hörmann will consist of reinforced bollards, road blockers for passages of up to six metres wide, lift carriers for passages of up to ten metres wide and tyre killers.

Hörmann UK’s marketing manager, David O’Mara, said: “Renowned for the quality of our products, our recent acquisition of Pilomat not only enhances our product offering, but it means that our customers can now buy everything they need from a single source and receive on-site support from experienced Hörmann personnel.”
