D2N2 LEP names new chief executive

The D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has named the successor to outgoing chief executive David Ralph.

According to reports in the Nottingham Post, Matthew Wheatley, who joined the LEP in the weeks after its formation, is set to take over from Ralph, who announced he was stepping down in the run-up to Christmas.

Wheatley steps up from growth plan manager at the LEP. He was previously head of economy and skills at East Midlands Councils – the organisation which represents the interests of local Councils in the region.
