£14m Derby city centre residential tower to go ahead

Plans for a £14m 13-storey residential block in Derby – one of the tallest buildings in the city – were given the go-ahead last night.

The scheme will include two blocks – one 13 storeys tall – built on land between the Brewery Tap and Exeter Arms.

According to the Derby Telegraph, councillors gave the thumbs up the scheme at a planning committee meeting last night (Thursday).

The decision means the former office block Bio House will be demolished to make way for the new development, which will be home to 105 apartments.
