Lace Market student scheme tipped for green light

Plans for 67 student bedroom on the edge of the Lace Market have been put forward for approval by the chief planner at Nottingham City Council.
Grace Machin put forward the planning application for the scheme on behalf of PSG SSAS Trustees and PSG SIPP Trustees on a site or former almhouses where Cliff Road, Canal Street and Pemberton Street meet.
Plans include a cafe, games room, cinema and laundry – all for residents only.
A planning statement from Grace Machin said: “This new student accommodation will contribute towards a local housing need, through the delivery of purpose built student accommodation, all within a highly sustainable and accessible location.”
The Nottingham City Council Planning Committee will sit next to Wednesday (16 May) to decide on the plans.
