Architect completes scheme for 45 retirement homes

Design practice, rg+p has completed its first scheme for the retirement housebuilder, McCarthy and Stone.
Rosebud Court, a retirement living development on Westfield Road, Wellingborough, was recently opened to the public and includes 45 one- and two-bedroom apartments alongside a separate guest suite, homeowners’ lounge and communal landscaped gardens.
“Rosebud Court occupies a position close to the centre of Wellingborough but is also located adjacent a local park; so it was designed to be both respectful of neighbouring properties and create an appealing outlook for residents,” said associate architect, Rob Grewcock.
He added: “Many apartments have views over the private, south-facing garden area, which was created to facilitate both connectivity and independent living as much as possible.
“It’s always pleasing to see a project from an initial design concept through to completion and we hope the new homeowners at Rosebud Court will be very happy in their new homes.”
