Three former Spearing Waite partners have left the firm after it was taken over by Knights.

Erin Vickers has joined Fraser Brown as partner in the commercial property team.

She said: “I have a huge amount of professional respect for the Fraser Brown team, with whom I’ve been acquainted with for a number of years. The firm has an amazing culture and I’m lucky enough to be working closely with a variety of departments at the firm, all of which have welcomed me with open arms.

“Fraser Brown is the largest independent law firm in Nottingham and I’m proud to be joining its growing team of industry leading professionals as the firm continues its growth.”

Steve McElhone and Amanda Badley

Meanwhile, corporate partner Stephen McElhone has joined Leicester law firm BHW. He has been joined by employment law partner Amanda Badley, who also joins from Spearing Waite.

Managing Partner, Nick Bridle, said: “When the opportunity arose to bring Steve and Amanda to BHW, we didn’t hesitate. They have both been on our radar for some time. Steve and Amanda are well renowned within the Leicester business community and their respective expertise complements our business perfectly.”

Listed law firm Knights bought Leicester-based Spearing Waite in October in a shock deal worth up to £8.5m.
