Logistics firm moves into Derbyshire big shed

A 141,459 sq ft warehouse unit in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, has been let by warehousing and logistics firm Jenkins.

The company has agreed a five-year lease on the unit, called Tetron 141, with landlord Aberdeen Standard Investments.

CBRE advised Jenkins on the letting. JLL and Knight Frank acted on behalf of the landlord.

Melissa Wase-Rogers and Craig Herrick from CBRE’s Midlands industrial and logistics team advised Jenkins.

Wase Rogers said: “The East Midlands Industrial market has remained strong throughout 2018, with 9.8m sq ft of space let during the year.

“This deal is an example of a letting of a recently refurbished second hand unit that was agreed on flexible lease terms for the tenant, including a three-year break option. The landlord benefitted from a competitive rent and a negligible void period.”

Rob Stewart, Jenkins commercial director, said: “CBRE acted quickly, efficiently and professionally in finding and securing this site. The facility at Tetron 141 will complement our nine port locations in Great Britain and Ireland, as well as our national transport fleet.”
