First look inside new 154-room Leicester hotel

Interior design consultancy, Koncept ID, has revealed new visuals of the new Novotel hotel coming to Leicester from hospitality giant, Accor.

Koncept ID is working alongside Charles Street Buildings on the launch of the new apartment hotel, which will be in the city’s former Great Central Railway site on Vaughan Way opposite the Highcross shopping centre.

The £50m development will see a 154-room Novotel created alongside a 98-room aparthotel for Adagio.

Koncept ID is responsible for the design and fit-out of public areas, which include the lobby café and co-working space, as well as restaurant, bar, meeting rooms and gym.

Koncept also worked alongside sister company, Leach Rhodes Walker Architects, on the project’s room implementation.

Jenny Denton, director at Koncept ID, said: “The opportunity to work on a pair of new sites allows us to truly exercise our creative flair. It’s been an exciting project from the offset and we look forward to seeing the two buildings come to life.”

Ana Jorge, director of design and technical services at Accor UKI said: “We are renowned for offering distinctive hotels in key locations and this new sites makes a fantastic addition to our portfolio.”

Completion of the development is expected by the end of the year.
