Hour-long delays on M1 after collision

There are long delays of at least 60 minutes on the M1 southbound in Leicestershire between J22 and J21 due to a collision which has closed lanes 1 and 2 between J21A and J21.

Leicestershire Police and emergency services are currently in attendance and are being assisted by Highways England Traffic Officers.

A statement fro Highways England said: “Road users may wish to consider alternative routes and are advised to allow extra time for their journey.”
