New images show detail of planned 702-bed student scheme

New images have emerged of a huge 702-bed student accommodation block planned for Nottingham city centre.

TheBusinessDesk.com has seen the images in the same week as  Cassidy Group formally submitted plans for its massive student scheme on Deakins Place Road Nottingham near to The University of Nottingham’s Jubilee Campus.

The images show the scale of the proposed development, which also includes a new pedestrian footbridge over the River Leen.

The development will be a mixture of cluster bedrooms and studios, an will offer Students breakout study areas, open plan living space, cinema, gym and a cycle store.

Cassidy says it wants to complete Deakins Place in time for the August 2021 academic year.

The firm is already active in Nottingham. It is currently building a 217-bed student scheme in Beeston, while in Nottingham city centre it is on site at the 350-apartment Saffron Court and has recently received planning permission for the nearby 150-unit Chainey Place.
