The M69 motorway northbound in Leicestershire is closed between J1 (Hinckley, B4109 Nuneaton A5) and J2 due to a multi-vehicle collision.

The accident has resulted in large oil/fuel spillage across the road which needs to be cleared and there is also barrier damage which needs repairing.

Diversion are in place and drivers are warned to expect delays.

Motorists should exit the M69 at J1 and follow the route marked with a hollow circle symbol on local road signs.

Continue past Magna Park to the roundabout with the A426 (Lutterworth Road/Rugby Road Roundabout). Take the second exit from the roundabout to remain on the A4303 to the M1 J20. Join the M1 northbound and continue to J21 of the M1.
