KPMG announces new tax head

Mike Tuhme

KPMG has unveiled its new head of tax in the Midlands.

Mike Tuhme succeeds the outgoing Tim Blake, who is returning to the firm’s London office after three years in the role.

Tuhme has over 23 years of experience, having worked with a range of listed and privately owned businesses.

Over the last seven years, he has been instrumental in helping the firm’s East Midlands practice achieve double digit growth each year.

Tuhme said: “I’m thrilled to have been appointed to lead KPMG’s tax practice in the Midlands. We have a fantastic team of experts and our practice is growing as demand for our services increases. Businesses are currently operating in a tumultuous environment, with geopolitics, trade wars and various other issues at the fore, and organisations recognise the need, now more than ever, for professional advice.

“I’m excited to be working with such a talented team as we continue to deliver the best advice and tailored solutions to our clients.”

Blake added: “Whilst I’m sad to be leaving the Midlands, I’m delighted that Mike has taken over and I have no doubt that he is the right person for the job. His enthusiasm and dedication to both our people and clients is second to none.

“He’s been extensively involved in growing our East Midlands tax practice over the last seven years, and he also leads the firm’s national private capital tax programme, so he’s well positioned to drive the team to further success.”
