City Ground redevelopment takes a step closer

Nottingham Forest have announced details of a public exhibition as the next step in progressing redevelopment proposals at The City Ground.

Since the announcement of the redevelopmen in March, the club has instructed advisers to undertake surveys and design work to prepare the scheme. Discussions have also taken place with Rushcliffe Borough Council, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to inform the scheme.

Following the public exhibition, it is expected the planning application will be submitted before the end of the year. Should planning permission be granted, Forest say construction could start during the first half of 2020.

A statement from the club said: “Before the planning application is submitted, the club has organised two public drop-in sessions for the local community to preview the proposals. The sessions will be supported by club personnel and our consultant team who will be happy to discuss the proposals and answer any questions.”

The consultations will take place on:

Friday 15th November 2019 – 10am-8pm

European Lounge, Brian Clough Stand, The City Ground, NG2 5BR

Saturday 16th November 2019 – 9am-1pm

European Lounge, Brian Clough Stand, The City Ground, NG2 5BR
