Hour long delays on M1 due to broken down vehicle

Highways England is reporting “severe” delays on the M1 southbound in Leicestershire due to a broken down vehicle closing 3 (of 4) lanes between J21A (A46, Leicester) and J21 (M69).

The agency says recovery will need to be attend as the vehicle cannot be moved from the carriageway.

Delays currently at least 60 minutes above normal travel time.
