Land deal paves way for 73-home residential development

A nine-acre site in the south Lincolnshire village of Donington has been sold, paving the way for a new residential development to be built.

The land off Malting Lane was sold by Fisher German to developers Minster Property Group after planning permission was granted for up to 73 homes on the site.

A quarter of the new homes will be affordable or below market value.

Matthew Handford, development surveyor at Fisher German, said: “We’re very pleased to have not only secured planning permission for these new homes but to have successfully sold the land to a developer to allow the project to go ahead.

“This development will provide vital affordable homes to people in south Lincolnshire who might otherwise have struggled to buy a property outright.”

Fisher German’s planning team managed to secure planning permission from South Holland District Council despite the site having previously been discounted by another consultant.

Liberty Stones, head of planning at Fisher German, added: “Achieving planning permission for these homes is a fantastic outcome for those looking to settle in south Lincolnshire.

“And now Minster Property Group has bought the land, these homes will be well on their way to being built.”
