Nottingham duo go glamping

Nick Grace and Natasha Bicknell

Two East Midlands companies have joined forces to secure planning approval for luxury glamping franchise TinyWood Homes’ site in Warwickshire.

Natasha Bicknell, planning solicitor at Roythornes, and Nick Grace, partner at Grace Machin Planning & Property, have obtained retrospective planning permission for six log cabins to be used as tourist accommodation.

TinyWood Homes offers rustic cabin-style holiday accommodation, made entirely of wood and steel, set within open countryside locations. The company was established in 2013 and has sites across the UK including in Lincolnshire, Warwickshire and Devon.

Bicknell said: “We’re absolutely delighted to secure planning for TinyWood Homes. Following an initial site visit in April this year, we established a robust planning strategy that would allow the business to continue operating throughout the summer – its busiest period.”

Grace added: “We’ve worked with Roythornes on a number of recent retrospective planning applications, so we were confident of securing a positive result for Aidan and TinyWood Homes. Having a well evidenced and robust case to present to the Local Planning Authority can make all the difference – we’re very pleased with the positive outcome.”
