Accountancy firm hits £4m profit mark

Dains, the independent Midlands-based chartered accountants, has seen its profits jump by 60 per cent in a single year.

The company notched up an operating profit of £4.07 million in 2018-2019 – up from the previous year’s figure of £2.58 million – and saw its turnover increase from £10.46 million to £12.33 million during the same period.

The firm extended a number of new services to its client base over the last 12 months, including its Assurance Plus+ Service, and added 53 new staff across its offices in Birmingham, Burton, Derby, Lichfield and Stoke-on-Trent.

Richard McNeilly, managing partner of Dains Accountants, said: “We value our clients and our clients value what we do, so our own success is tangible with client success.

“People are at the core of our business and without them this success wouldn’t have been possible.

“In recognition of this, staff received profit related bonuses and are also benefiting from flexible smart working and other incentives such as enhanced holiday packages.

“At Dains we never just stand still. We are constantly looking to evolve, build on our achievements and take the company to the next level.”
